Abstract

The application of computer tools to high education has showed to be very effective in different educational settings. The better control of these technologies by the users and the more sophisticated designs of the computer platforms continually open new fields to experiment and optimize resources in order to get more efficiency in teaching and learning, and in the exchange of opinions in virtual environments.A less explored area is the on-line evaluation, a different process with specific components. This paper describes a methodology that combines virtual evaluation through Moodle plataform, by means of tests with multiple choice answer, with the traditional way of evaluation by classroom exams, to assess complementary aspects of the knowledge acquired. The purpose is to present the experience with this methodology (MMVP, Mixed Methodology Virtual-Face to Face) during the academic year 2010-11 in the subject Microeconomics: Markets and Competition in European Union of the Degree in Business Administration and Law, in A Coruña University.
