Resumen

This experience arises from the course “Projects of Innovation and Educational Research on Galician Language and Literature and Spanish Language and Literature”, in the MA on Secondary Education Teacher Training. By our contact with schools we often realise that innovations tend to occur more in the lowest educational levels and that, due to inertia and the requirements of our educational system, the higher the level the more traditional the methodologies. In this sense, our idea consists in using active methodologies in higher education. Since the purpose of the course is to introduce the philosophy of project-based learning, which students aren’t usually familiarised with, we propose that they design and experience their own project. The key principle here is, thus, “learning by doing”. From the teaching viewpoint, we apply the concepts of integrated treatment of languages and co-teaching.
