Resumen

The migration relationship between Mexico and the United States of America has been studied by the scientific community through history. Both countries are inextricably linked with the other through inmigration. Yet, contemporary Mexico´s appeal lies in its unparalleled origins, as well as for being a place whereby many visitor may freely come and go. Its geographic location; at the south of the United States, implies a mutual and constant relationship that has been defined as one of dependence, foe we are speaking about two nations that have enormous cultural, social, economic and political differences; a classic paradigm of the contrast between development. The migratory flow, between the two countries has been constant, being the latter that promised destination for those Mexicans who seek to pursue the American dream and thus, have better opportunities for themselves and for their families. Despite the well-documented literature dedicated to the migratory phenomenon that has been taking place between both nations, it is only recently that the academic analysis has taken into account the gender perspective of the aforementioned situation. However, some of these scientific studies broach female Mexican migration to the United States without taking into account that the theoretical arguments do not always reflect the reality of these migrants...
