Abstract

Working collaboratively in the development of a project is one of the principles of the BIM methodology. Like other skill, the ability to be able to work colla oratively must be trained. For this reason it is essential that students of a master's degree in BIM methodology acquire competencies for collaborative work. In this article, the characteristics of the Collaborative Work subject within the framework of the Master's Degree in BIM Continuing Education at the University of A Coruña are detailed. The student faces, for the first time in the master's degree, a collaborative task with the tools that he/she has used during his/her training. After passing the course, the student acquires skills in team organisation, task allocation and work distribution. Likewise, they must get used to monitoring the work writing reports where they will record thedecisions, tasks allocations or decisions taken in the accomplishment of the task, resolvinginconsistencies or inaccuracies in the basic documentation from which they start to carry out the task.
