Abstract

Information and Communication Technologies are becoming increasingly present in our daily lives and in the society we live in. However, there is a large percentage of people who cannot access or use new technologies in an autonomous and independent way. Thus, the main aim of this project is to create and design a tool or an application that makes easier the access and use of information and communication technologies to as many people as possible, considering the different types of needs and demands. To that end, we have developed a methodology based on the creation and development of In-TIC software and the validation of the application with different user groups. The obtained software, known as In-TIC tool, improves the accessibility and the usability of the computer through interfaces or keyboards designed specifically for each user, following the guidelines or principles of the “Design for All” paradigm. Note that this application improves quite a few options with respect to other programs in the market thanks to its flexibility and dynamism, but will prbably require new developments as new opportunities are identified.
