Abstract
Objective: To evaluate the intervention process Occupational Therapy in persons with lower limb amputation, based on the level of independence and personal autonomy achieved. Methods: A quantitative research for the analysis of the intervention of Occupational Therapy at the Maritime Hospital Oza (A Coruña) is used. This is a quasi-experimental descriptive study with no control group, whose data collection method involves administering standardized assessment instruments. Results: The intervention of Occupational Therapy in persons with lower limb amputation can achieve greater independence and autonomy in the Basic and Instrumental Activities of Daily Living in 91.66% of cases, and favors increasing the quality of life of the contestants. Conclusion: It is established that the intervention process Occupational Therapy is effective for achieving a more independent and autonomous life.
