Investigación enfermera en el área sanitaria de Ferrol

Objective: To know the research profile of nurses, the type of research carried out and the degree of motivation for research in the Ferrol Health Area (A Coruña). Methods: Descriptive study, with qualitative methodology, the data were analyzed and codified, grouped by subject and categories, and subsequently interpreted, after obtaining theoretical saturation. Results: 68 nurses participated. A total of 64.6% had never carried out any type of research study. The 35.4% had received training to start a research study (20% indicated that was insufficient). 50.8% commented that there were obstacles to research. Most consider research in Nursing fundamental, but they are scarcely involved in it, arguing different reasons. Conclusions: The most research is carried out in the hospital setting, that the majority of research is published in the form of communications, therefore we consider as necessary to promote nursing research and its recognition at all levels, as a need for the advancement of our profession, creating support networks or groups of interested professionals, lines of research or informal leaders who collaborate in research.
