Abstract
The text presents the study of the cartoons produced in Galicia as a tool for the transmission of the image of Galicia, as well as for the cultural and linguistic normalisation. After analysing the text from the promotional and pedagogical point of view, it is found that these productions turn into an ethnographic film, so that the films are defenders and transmitters of traditions, cultural values, languages and characteristics of each society, by using a stereotyped image. The secondary purpose is to influence the perception that a spectator has of people or society, to model its behaviour and to generate certain values.
