Abstract

The effect of reforestation on soil erosion is assessed in a degraded area due to the previous agricultural land use by means of the RMMF model. Re-sults indicate a decrease in water erosion in the hillslopes and similar runoff coefficients for both analysed scenarios. This situation suggests an increase of the water shear strength in the drainage network due to the concentration of runoff and the effect of clear water.
