Resumen

Since the beginning of history, the Sobrado area was a land where different routes of communication converged. In the Early Middle Ages, after the creation of the Sobrado monastery and from the discovery of Santiago Zebedeo’s (“The Eldest”) supposed sepulchre in the early 9th century in the western part of the Galician kingdom, the town and the monastery received pilgrims. In this work, I examine the landscapes, places and their names which, presumably, those travellers found when they were crossing the lands of the Présaras area towards Compostela or other destinations.
