Abstract
The article examines the presence of the Matter of Britain in Galician drama in the last third of the 20th century and, in particular, in the work of the most representative figures of this period: Manuel Lourenzo and Roberto Vidal Bolaño. The article analyses plays such as Todos os fillos de Galaad (1981), Viva Lanzarote (1982), A sensación de Camelot (1991) and A noite dos cabaleiros (2006) by Lourenzo, and Percival (1982) by Vidal Bolaño (adapted from the short story of the same name by Xosé Luis Méndez Ferrín, first published in 1958) to explore the use made by Galician theatre of one of the three great story cycles of western medieval literature during the period of theatrical revival that followed the end of the Franco dictatorship.
