Abstract

This work offers an extensive view of the Spanish language news pamphlets on Japan published inside and outside Spain in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries. For this purpose, this work details the number of located editions, the type of events covered, and their main authors, as well as some typo-bibliographical and material characteristics. Furthermore, this work analyzes the reasons that contributed to their disappearance and the geographical dispersion of the preserved copies.
