Abstract

Objective: To assess the proper condition of the skin through the measurement of cutaneous parameters by a non-invasive device multi probe in patients affected of radiodermitis (radiotherapy induced injury). Methodology: Descriptive observational study. Measurement of cutaneous parameters (hydration, erythema, melanin, elasticity) through a multi-probe device and, implementation of a protocol for the treatment of cure in humid environment to patients with radiodermitis. Descriptive statistics and dispersion. Results: We evaluated 6 clinical cases (4 men and 2 women) affected of radiodermitis grade 2-3. In 67% of the cases we obtained a decrease of 74,6% of lesion area. Of all the cutaneous parameters evaluated, erythema and hydration were the values that more variability presented in reference to the value of the control. Conclusions: The skin parameter information obtained by the non-invasive device multi-probe proved to be useful to determine the effectiveness of treatment of cure in humid environment in lesions induced radio, as well as for the followup, the evolution and prognosis of healing.
