Resumen

Experience of parental divorce increases the risk of appearance of a wide variety of problems related to the physical and mental health (Amato & Cheadle, 2005; Fariña, Seijo, Arce & Novo, 2002). Most frequent emotional alterations are related with the major levels of anxiety (i.e., Schick, 2002), social phobia (i.e., Overbeek et al., 2006), low selfsteem (i.e., Walper, 1995), depressive symptoms (i.e., Ge, Natsuaki & Conger, 2006). This work analyzed psychological health in a sample of 180 university students, of which 90 had lived through the separation of his parents and 90 were coming from intact families. To evaluate the mental health there was applied the SCL-90-R (Derogatis, 1977)
