Abstract

In this work, microrelief results measured in 66 plots, ca. 1.80 m2in area, are presented.Data were obtained in each surface by a pinmeter, over a 20 x 20 mm regular grid. Data sets includedboth, different tillage conditions (mouldboard plough, harrow and recent tilled surfaces) and soil surfacedegradation state as induced by natural rain effect, ranging from initial to sedimentary. The randomroughness index, RR, was calculated for different conditions. When only the slope effect was removedRR values were in the range between 10.08 mm and 50.99 mm, whereas when slope plus tillage featureswere removed, these range was between 7.42 mm and 38.55 mm. Surfaces prepared by mouldboardploughing present a significantly higher roughness values than all of other surfaces.
