Resumo

With the approval of the law creating the Official College of Occupational Therapists of Galicia (COTOGA), the associative movement of occupational therapists went on to acquire the status of public law corporation, "with its own legal personality and full capacity for compliance with its purposes. " Since the holding of the constituent assembly on June 3, in which the government structures were elected, the members of the governance have been working to expedite the necessary procedures in order to begin officially functioning as an entity, and begin to exercise our rights. On October 30, the statutes of COTOGA were published by decree, and their registration was ordered in the Register of Professional Associations of the Autonomous Community of Galicia, allowing us, at last, to begin to function officially as an entity, and to begin the adventure that will be continuing to work towards the development and advancement of our discipline.
