Resumo

The digital twin of a ship is an idea that integrates all the subsystems that make a ship the complex system it is. This digital twin seeks to virtually reproduce the functions of these subsystems, as well as all the conditions involved in the ship's mission (route to follow, maintenance times, modes of navigation and sea conditions). Modelling is based on the real conditions and physical behaviour of the systems, as well as their prediction over time. This work looks al the possibilities that simulation models offer to visualize a ship's propulsion system and navigation conditions so that you can estimate fuel consumption. This development os a module of a more ambitious route optimization tool based on requirements tha maximize consumption efficiency, minimize emissions, allow greater comfort on board and the possibility of monitoring maintenance.
