Resumo
In this work we try to find out how motivational variables such as Self-efficacy and Academic Goals have an influence on High school students' academic performance taking into consideration their gender. For this review, a sample of 1505 subjects, belonging to the main disciplines, is available. From the multiple linear regression which has been carried out, the results show that the Academic Self-efficacy is the one which explains the greater percentage of variance, on the contrary to Academic goals. Finally, proposals for educational improvement for students and teachers are made.
