Abstract
This article is devoted to the short-story: “Sin pasión” written by Emilia Pardo Bazán in 1909. This short-story deals with domestic violence against women. A textual analysis will be presented both from the literary semiotics perspective, with special attention focused on: topic, structure, characters, time and space, and from the teaching and learning languages perspective.
