Abstract
By 1999, Galicia did not have a faculty for audiovisual communication training. That was when the Magister on Audiovisual Production and Management co-held by the University of A Coruña and La Voz de Galicia started to run. This article draws up a balance of the first five years of Magister, which is now a reference for those interested in developing management and production tasks within the audiovisual sector.
