Abstract

This paper analyses the conceptual contents related to vegetal nutrition that are included in the discourse and activities of the textbooks of Natural Sciences for secondary education that are most used in Galicia; their coherence with official educational policies is evaluated. As for the activities, their location in the text, aims and types are analysed. It is found that publishers present most of the concepts associated to vegetal nutrition in the first three years of ESO, mainly in declarative terms. Texts highlight the macroscopic and pluricellular level, while concepts related to the level of ecosystems are less frequently treated. The aim of most of the activities is the application of theories; practical work is very rare.
