Resumen

Decolonization, understood as the dismantling of colonial administration in foreign territory, presents itself as one of geopolitical imagination´s key myths for the period of the turn of the century. Colonial difference re-defi nes itself within the borders of 21st century through both the control and regulation of roving bodies and identities. In the Mediterranean scenario, Ceutan space appears as a suggestive location wherein to explore the meaning of the border along with the horizons of exclusion and difference. Are we facing a selective and colonial border? Who crosses the border? Under which conditions? Moreover, who does not? And also, where is the border? Here, the border is analyzed through the spaces through which the migrant are controlled with the objective of observing its spread as closely related to its differential nature. Ceuta presents itself as a transitional space, as a wait, as a limbo.
