Abstract
Achilles tendon injuries are a common disease in podiatric and foot and ankle surgery consultation. Midportion pain is a frequent problem in runners but could be seen in sedentary people too. Correct term for this condition is non insertional Achilles tendinopathy. There are many treatment options that try to reduce the pain and improve the function of damaged tissue. Conservative treatments usually have good results but there are some cases that could need surgery. We present a minimally invasive technique using a radiofrequency microdebrider to treat the tendinosis.
