Abstract
This article deal with the common difficulties that many family therapist, qualified as well as novice, when working with children in therapy. Basic guidelines for a therapeutic work oriented to the creation of therapeutic alliance with the children and the families are offered, emphasizing the importance of using the resources and strengths of children and families, and of dissolving negative and blaming definitions of the problem. In he context of that theoretical approach, a selection of specific intervention techniques are described, techniques that integrate the childrens fantasy in the process of creating therapeutic change.
