Resumen

The aim of this paper is to come to terms with the educational needs felt by student teachers from schools of education in Galicia, starting from their implication in the practice and their academic work as teachers-to-be both in the classrooms and school centers in wich their particular teaching practice programs were developed. Our concem in this research has gone further any considerations about the elaboration of a checklist of perceiving needs in order to identify, in sorne way, their lack of educational needs as prospective teachers and, insofar as it is possible, to make a profile of this situacion and work out the means of filling the gap. Within the six conceptual frameworks we have distinguished: subject-matter, general education, syllabus design, school management, educational context and teaching professional skills, we have concluded that the attention to need analysis is concentrated on those various respects derived from syllabus design.
