Abstract

The evolution of the European Higher Education Area has produced significant changes in the training of students, to whom is attributed the ability to identify their training needs; Therefore, it is considered convenient to make a diagnosis of those needs through instruments and evaluation methodologies. The main objective of this research is focused on detecting the needs perceived and expressed by the student in the Final Dissertation subject. The research focuses on Degree in Early Childhood Education and Degree in Primary Education of the University of A Coruña through a descriptive study with quantitative approach. The instrument made allows detect them needs training of the students, demonstrating, through them results obtained, that these is presented in all the process of elaboration and defence of the essays. This results justified the need to reflect on the undergraduate dissertations in itself (organization, development, evaluation,...) to allow to translate the integrated mastery of skills acquired independently by students, on the basis of the principles that govern the EHEA, in order to improve the quality of education throughout the process.
