Abstract

AII recent architecture, which today draws the background of our cities and which conditions our closest reality, is born from the breaking processes that the hit of the Modern Movement brought. After first orthodoxies, the search of a historical relationship, to make sense of a more local architecture and to deny the tabula rasa with the tradition, brought us generations of architects and a selection of works concerned about the modern challenge that will question the terms of place, culture and society. Through the study of two daily architectures, the main purpose of this project is to bring closer the actual scope that the exit of Modern Movement had in two small and provincial towns, in order to explain the two faces that the same process has in Spain and Italy.
