Abstract

At the university area the search of employment by using new technologies means of the utilization of the new technologies allowed to the Generation Z to be employed his personal brand and to develop a model to find work orientated to his expectations. Likewise, and from a business perspective the persons in charge of human resources use the social media in form increasingly untighten to recruit to his personnel, to find additional information of the candidates or to detect possible talents which to rely on future (Adecco Professional, 2013, 2014, 2015). It follows that, a proactive attitude is important in the utilization of the social networks for future management staff, in order to be located in a suitable way. Therefore, it is considered of interest to centre the study in investigating certain groups in the use of the social networks and his predisposition to be used in the processes of search of employment, especially when specific researches do not abound in the matter. On those grounds, it is decided to realize an exploratory study focused in the university students of the Generation Z, in order to verify if effectively the general trend takes place and whether that is the case, to put in consideration those connotations that they could help them overcome. The main purpose is to know if the university graduates use or have predisposition to use the social networks for the active search of employment. It is a question of an exploratory quantitative study in which a structured questionnaire is used as a technique for data collection. The results demonstrated the great utilization of the social networks on the part of the university students of the Generation Z, but not specifically in order to seek employment.
