Resumo

In this work attitudes towards mathematics depending on the degree and access studies to University are analyzed in Primary teacher students from A Coruña University. Academic performance is also studied regarding these two factors. We apply the PAC attitude questionnaire by Naya, Soneira, Mato and Torre (2014) with a Cronbach's Alpha coefficient of 0.921 to a sample of 307 students. The questionnaire is made up of 19 items with five Likert-type response and three dimensions that measure self-concept, the student's perception of their math teacher and liking for mathematics. The results show that there are significant differences in attitudes and academic performance depending on the access studies to university.
