Abstract
The daily press sector has experienced in the last years an important impact as a consequence, among other facts, of the development of the digital press, and whose effect has been reflected with greater clarity in the population segments of younger age, youth. The Netgeneration phenomenon has been one of the causes of the modification of the strategies of the publishing companies, that have seen their print audiences trimmed what in many cases led to the implementation of digital newspapers with the purpose of reaching new audiences and not losing their usual consumers. This work must by objective analyze the behavior of youth in relation to press reading habits, analyzing how digital press has become an important substitute of printed press for segments as youth, characterized lately by low index of newspaper reading, more attracted by digital formats to access information.
