Abstract
This project ¡s aimed at evaluating the effect of natural and pollution processes on the contents ofions Ca2+, Na+, K+, Mg2+, H C03, Cl', N 03 and SO /' in a spring water in the granitic massif of ACoruña. To make this possible it has been carried out the study of the relationship of the aforementioned inorganic ions out of 36 water samples taken from the spring in question. The factorial analysis applied to the previous ions reveals that the Na+ and SO /' concentrationshave higher factorial charges in the 1 and 3 factors respectively. Factors 1 and 2 on the one hand, and 3 on the other, show more effect due to natural processes and antropic activities respectively. The factorial analysis results indicate that the Na+, Ca2+, Mg2+, HCOs~ and K+ levels are causedmainly by natural sources, whereas Cl' and N 03 are due to both natural and pollution reasons. Finally, SO /' is related to pollution phenomena.
