Abstract

Among all the different examples of multicultural reality, we have drawn our attention to the Moroccan presence in textbooks. Apart from complaining against the mistakes, silences, distortions, racist positions and stereotypes on Moroccan people that appear in the above mentioned textbooks, we would like to present the specific characteristics that identify their culture and the historic characters that have starred it, to obtain texts that approximate to their culture from a different position and that can include new points of view that can change what we already know about them. As a result of it, this research has two aims: the first one is the study of the different considerations that appear in the textbooks on Moroccan men and women if there are any - and that induce people to consider them in an specific way; and the second one is to offer a theoretical base that can help to extend new cultural perceptions so that together with the old usual ones, introduce a contract on people images and perception and stimulate the understanding of the collective.
