Abstract
This research constitutes a study focused on the evaluation of the urban environment from a multidimensional perspective. A multiplicity of factors related to life in the city, as well as the subjective feeling that constitutes the experience of the citizen, were taken into account as being influential in the satisfaction and attitudes of people with respect to the urban environment. Thus, predictors of environmental quality such as noise, privacy, safety, maintenance of neighbourhoods, quality of air, characteristics of neighbours and accessibility to services were analyzed. In order to test a model of relationship between residential environmental quality and the satisfaction of people, as well as to provide information on the aspects of quality that define that satisfaction, factor analysis and multiple regression procedures were used
