Resumen

The way to regulate the expectations of the Owner and the Contractor is the signature of a contract, that in big or mega projects related with energetic infrastructures, is normally a EPC (Engineering Procurement and Construction) type. This thesis collects the perception of diverse participants of the Contact about how they think that the operation and maintenance criteria and expertise related with that area of knowledge was incorporated, or should have been incorporated into the projects they worked in. It was possible to confirm that the perception of the owner and the contractors is quite different, but if contractor wants to understand and provide what the owner most appreciate, his options to be awarded with the contract will increase. As a general conclusion of the research, all the parties consider as beneficial for the project the incorporation of people with experience in operation and maintenance since the very early phases of the project, as well as those studies that allow to optimize the OPEX and improve the business plan.
